The Pope is ruining my Christmas spirit

Apparently the Pope wants to save the world from homosexuality.

If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go for a long walk, during which I may possibly cry.

  1. This reminds me of King Canute. He couldn’t stop the waves coming in, & neither can Benny. (Give Canute credit that doesn’t belong to the Pope—he knew he couldn’t succeed & was just showing his courtiers.)

  2. Yeah, but last week 66 countries — all sorts of countries — affirmed the equal rights of all persons of all sexual orientations and gender identities!

  3. Pope just has to say something to grab headlines at this time of the year…can’t imagine why?? perhaps to deflect attention from that other guy Mugabe…maybe there is a need for a Benedict to hang alongside Rowan and John on the Christmas tree!! Rowan arrived here today and is half way up our traditional plastic non-drop thing! His twin will be travelling (probably third class) by air round the world to you shortly….but as UK shuts down for 3 days now….he’s likely to turn up around 12th night!! How apt for a druid!
    Much love at Christmas
    God bless you

  4. This is the kind of stuff that makes my gay Catholic colleagues and friends want to turn Protestant…not that we’re much better. So much work to do!
